The weather’s next to awful, but the city is still very nice. I certainly can imagine myself living here. Funny, but with the exception of Prague, all the places I think I’d like to live in are monarchies.

The hotel’s much better than originally expected.

Rather cute palace guards, with no forced army-style behavior. Horse and trumpets parade unexpectedly cool.

Still unfamiliar with local pronunciation.

Strange hidden patios with fountains and sculptures.

Surreal blue T-line with surprises on every central station we’ve visited. Public transport at 30 Kr per hour is a rip off. Even Helsinki’s cheaper.

Sell your mom! ad campaign all over the place.

Museums that were supposed to be free started charding admission fee. A more up to date guidebook is necessary.
